Al Gore Predicts 1500 meter Sea Level Rise
Take a look at the cover of Al Gore’s recent book below the fold:
Note that Baja California Sur, and all of Baja California it looks like to me, is under water.
The elevation in Baja California is reported by one source as follows: “Elevation is variable, ranging from mountain ranges on the western central part (1000 – 1500m), plains of median elevation (300 – 600m), . . . ”
Let’s take 1500 m ( about 4921 ft ). That’s some sea level rise, and if the figure represents conditions at about 90 years from now, that represents an average rate of about 17 meters per year ( about 55 feet per year ).
That being the case, the representation of the state of the North American Continent is not correct.
