I strongly agree. The validation and verification processes you describe on your (old?) blog are the scientific/engineering consensus. They are straightforward and conventional. They are even self-correcting and self-improving.

Why this climate change clique has chosen an inferior political/activist approach to building confidence in the climate science and climate models is beyond me. These are not stupid people. I am left wondering what I might be missing. Is my faith that diligent IV&V inexorably builds confidence misplaced?
